Recently, Customer reported that his iPhone 13 Pro Max had been soaked in water before, and it could be used normally after repair, but now the phone cannot be turned on or charged, so he asked us for help. Based on the customer's feedback, Phonefix shares with you how to repair the case of a phone that cannot be turned on.
After receiving the iPhone sent by the customer, we checked the overall appearance of the phone and tried to press the power button, but it did not respond. We disassembled Phone to check the specific faulty part.
iPhone Disassembly:
Use hand tools such as screwdriver and plastic pry tools to gently separate the back glass and screen. You can use the MaAnt F711 rotating Heating Separator to evenly heat and soften the screen frame adhesive, making it easier to separate the screen from the body without damaging the screen. Disconnect the battery from the motherboard. Using a Precision Screwdriver, remove all screws that secure the internal components.
Phonefix recommends that each operator note the location of the screw parts when disassembling the internal components. Use a Storage Box or Magnetic Repair Mat to place them, which will help prevent any small parts from being lost.
iPhone Diagnosis:
1. After disassembly, connect the Regulated Power Supply to test the voltage and current of the iPhone motherboard. You can see that the data displayed on the machine is abnormal, so we know that the problem is on the iPhone motherboard.
2. Motherboard was divided into layers, and further use voltage regulator to test. We found that the data tested on the upper motherboard is abnormal. From this we can know that the upper motherboard has a short circuit.
3. Take out the faulty upper motherboard separately, use an atomizer pen to apply a thin layer of Rosin on the motherboard, heat the mainboard coated with rosin evenly, and move it under a Stereo Microscope for observation. We can see that there is residue and too much on the upper motherboard in the upper left corner, and it is burnt. When you touch it with your hand, you can also feel that the USB chip is slightly hot.
4. Use the motherboard disassembly tool to remove the hot USB chip and replace new iPhone USB Chip. Use the Qianli iSocket iPhone Motherboard Test Fixture to test the motherboard, connect it to a regulated power supply and test the power data. We can see that the data is normal. At this time, we can fit the layered motherboard.
Reassemble the replaced motherboard and other iPhone components, use the charging adapter to charge and turn on the phone, and find that the iPhone 13 Pro Max can be turned on normally and enter the system smoothly. The fault has been perfectly repaired and the repair is completed.
