Capacitor Spot Welding Machine Usage Steps and Tips for Beginners

Recently, a friend asked me how to operate our AWithZ UF20B capacitor spot welding Machine. Phonefix noticed this problem at the first time, so this article will introduce the tutorial of this machine in detail.

First What is Capacitor Spot Welding Machine?
Capacitor Spot Welding Machine is a device that uses the electrical energy stored in capacitors for fast welding. Its working principle is that the capacitor releases a large amount of energy in a short time to form a strong arc, which quickly welds the metal materials together. This welding method is fast and suitable for welding tasks that require high precision and high efficiency. It is often used for welding battery packs. 


Secondly Key Description:
1. ON/OFF Key/Switching key
Short Press: Switch options.
Press and hold for 2 seconds: Power ON/OFF.
2. Adjustment key
Short Press: Single adjustment of selected parameters.
Press and hold for 2 seconds: Continuously adjust the selected parameters (Press and hold the gear item to switch between digits and tens).
3. Key Combinations
Short press on both keys at the same time: Fast language switching.
Press and hold both keys for 5 seconds at the same time: Restore factory settings (except for language, welding sound and screen brightness settings).


Thirdly step of use:
1. After turning on the power, press and hold the ON/OFF Key/Switching key for 2 seconds to turn on the power, short press the ON/OFF Key/Switching key to switch the setting options, the cursor stays on the required setting item, and short press Adjustment key to adjust the parameters.
2. Insert the spot welding pen, the device displays "OK. You can start welding. It is recommended to perform a welding test before formal welding. If you need manual mode welding, please touch the smart pen button to trigger welding, or use the foot switch that comes with it. Note that you need to connect the connection line to the trigger interface of the device first.

Take the spot welding of nickel sheet and battery as an example
1. Ensure that both ends of the battery and nickel sheets are flat, clean and corrosion-free.
2. Press and hold the ON/OFF Key/Switching key for 2 seconds to turn on the device and set the gear of the spot welder and other values.
3. Install the spot welding pen, if you need to weld in manual mode, please touch the smart pen button to trigger welding, or use the supplied foot switch, note that you need to connect the cable to the trigger interface of the device first.
4. Hold the spot welding pen, press it with appropriate force to make good contact between the welding needle and nickel piece, nickel piece and battery, no overhang, no poor contact.
5. Wait for the welding current output, if it is in manual mode, touch the smart pen button to trigger welding or foot switch pedal once, spot welding once.
Note:Try different gears and press force until the welding strength reaches the highest. It should be noted that higher gears may not necessarily result in stronger welding.

Finally Backstage setting steps
1. Short press the power key/switch key to switch to settings, and short press the adjustment key to enter the backstage interface. Short press the power key/switch key to move the cursor to system settings, and short press to enter the setting operation.
2. Short press the power key/switch key to switch the backstage setting options, the cursor stays on the required backstage setting item, and short press the adjustment key to adjust the parameters.
3. After the backstage setting is completed, short press the power key/switch key to switch the cursor to return to the main menu, short press the adjustment key to return to the main menu, and then short press the power key/switch key to switch the cursor to return. Short press the adjustment key to return to the main interface.

1.AT automatic mode: 0.25mm pure nickel welding 18650
2.MT intelligent manual mode: Accurate and meticulous, suitable for precision welding
3.MT foot switch mode: Precision welding, more convenient operation
Application scenarios:
Power tool repair, small and medium-sized battery assembly, mobile phone repair, home appliance repair, button battery welding, metal splicing.

Precautions:
1. Do not modify, disassemble or repair this product by yourself.
2. Do not expose this product to any liquid, immerse it in water or make it wet. Do not use the machine in rain or humid environment.
3. This product is recommended to be used in an ambient temperature range of 15°C to 50°C. Temperatures outside the use range will affect the spot welding effect and service life of the spot welder.
4. Do not place the machine near heat sources such as direct sunlight, fire or heating furnaces.
5. Do not store the device in a humid environment. The storage environment temperature should be kept between 10°C and 40°C.
6. If the machine is not used for a long time, it is recommended to power it on every 2 to 3 months.
